The 12 hour trip today was led by Capt Matt Smith on the Cavalier. Just to prove that no matter how good fishing is, there is always someone who you just can't please, one lady raised holy hell all day long on this trip. She was so unhappy, she told everyone else to go into the office at the end of the day and demand a free trip. She then makes resevations to go out again.
With a light crowd of 60 people today, Capt Smith brought the boat back with 101 red snapper 3vermillion snapper 14 lane snapper 1 mangrove snapper 43 king mackerel 1 amberjack 1 bonito 13 spadefish 1 sharpnose shark 1 bonnethead shark 1 rock hind |

The first 8-hour trip we have run in sometime was pretty succesful. With not as much time to run as far out as the 12 hour trip, fishing on the 8 hour trips can be pretty uneven. Today's trip saw the New Buccnaneer bring in a very good catch with:
44 red snapper 2 lane snapper 28 king mackerel 10 gulf trout |
