Today's morning and afternoon bay fishing trips by the partyboat Texsun II were headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams.
The morning trip was run with 50 fishermen while the afternoon trip had 35 fishermen aboard. After leaving Galveston's Pier 19 and making the easterly run through the Galveston channel, various places were fished on these two trips
Using pieces of cut squid as bait, fished at or near the bottom, brought in catches which included Atlantic sharpnose sharks, whiting, sand trout, numerous hardhead catfish and a 40# stingray. Areas fished were off the East end of Galveston's seawall, the East end flats, bay side of the jetty and near the concrete ship "Selma".
As has been said before, these four hour trips not only offer an easily managed family fishing experience but also a chance to soak up the sights, sounds and Saltwater aromas of Galveston Bay. They are four hour nature trips with man made attractions such as the ships and shrimpboats, along with the fishing which make these four hour trips a family entertainment bargain.
To make your reservations, come by the Texsun II office at Pier 19 or give them a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 - The Texsun II bay experience awaits you!

This morning's four hour bay fishing trip was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. After leaving Pier 19 with a short load of 12 fishermen, a run through the Galveston channel began, headed for the general area of the jetties. Choppy Seas in those areas prompted a fishing location change.
Fishing about 150 yards off the east end of the seawall had the bay waters giving up this catch: A boat limit of Atlantic sharpnose sharks plus gafftop and numerous hardhead cafish.Pieces of cut squid, fished on the bottom, had them biting.
Along with the catch, they also experienced a quality dose of the sights, sounds and saltwater smells of beautiful Galveston Bay. To book your four hour bay and jetty fishing trip, call the office at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853. Dorothy and Vicky are waiting for your call.
