Capt. Johnny Williams took the 63 fishermen aboard the Texsun II for this morning's bay and jetty fishing trip to the general area of Galveston's south jetty once again. They fished their baits or cut squid at or near the bottom, and these are the catch numbers:
13 gafftop catfish 7 assorted species of shark 16 whiting 67 sandtrout 1 Spanish mackerel 11 bull redfish

This morning's 4 hour bay/jetty fishing was run with Capt. Johnny Williams in the driver's seat. After leaving Pier 19 with 60 fishermen aboard, the run was to Galveston's south jetty. Working their baits of cut squid at or near the bottom, they wound in this catch:
18 assorted shark species 15 gafftop catfish 17 sand trout 10 whiting 1 Spanish mackerel 2 bull redfish
This afternoon's trip with Capt. Johnny Williams had the 31 fishermen trying their baits of cut squid at or near the bottom, in the area of Galveston's south jetty once again. Their efforts produced:
7 assorted shark species 7 whiting 28 gafftop catfish 13 sand trout

This morning's 4 hour bay and jetty fishing trip by the partyboat Texsun II was headed up by Capt. Dan Bunday. He had the 34 fishermen working their baits of cut squid at or near the bottom at various spots near Galveston's South Jetty.
Along with the fishing they enjoyed the sights, sounds and the saltwater aromas of beautiful Galveston Bay. Their catch was made up of 21 sharpnose sharks, 14 gafftop catfish, 1 bull redfish and 38 panfish (whiting, sandtrout, etc). What a bargain, $25 for adults, $15 for children, a four hour trip out of Galveston's Pier 19 on the Texsun II, a family fishing gem of a trip.

Today's 4 hour bay/jetty fishing runs this morning and afternoon were both headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. The 51 fishermen on the morning trip and the 30 on this afternoon's trip had their baits of cut squid working at or near the bottom in the area of Galveston's South Jetty. Their catches were made up of 49 Atlantic sharpnose sharks, gafftop catfish, a couple of Florida pompano and hardhead catfish.

This morning's 4 hour bay & jetty fishing trip was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams, who chose an area adjacent to Galveston's South Jetty.
Working their baits of cut squid or Spanish sardines at or near the bottom, the 40 fishermen had a catch which included 3 bull redfish, a couple of whiting, numerous hardhead catfish and 36 assorted sizes of shark.
Experience the sights, sounds and saltwater aromas of Galveston Bay while on a 4 hour fishing excursion aboard the partyboat Texsun II.
