This four hour bay and jetty fishing trip was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. He had the 50 fishermen aboard working their cut squid or cut pogey baits at or near the bottom in the area of the south jetty.

The catch included many hardhead catfish plus Atlantic sharpnose sharks, whiting, sand trout and bull redfish.

Make your reservations on the Texsun II, call the office at Pier 19, 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853. Get on the Texsun II and see what Galveston Bay holds for you.

This four hour bay and jetty fishing trip on the Texsun II was headed up by Capt. Johnny Wlliams. Using mostly pieces of cut squid baits fished at or near the bottom, the 39 fishermen reeled in this catch from the south jetty area.

* 3 red snapper (two were legal length and kept, the other one was undersize and released)
* 1 bull redfish
* 11 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
* 2 Gulf trout
* 4 whiting
* 1 sand trout
* numerous hardhead catfish

While the majority of the catch on this four hour trip was pretty much normal, the three red snappers are a bit of an oddity. As has been mentioned before, "you never know who's going to catch what at any stop"...that's the part of fishing that keeps people coming back for more. Give the office a ring at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 and make your reservations on the Texsun II to see what surprise might be waiting for you out there in Galveston Bay.

Only one 4 hour bay and jetty fishing trip was run today, and it was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. Fishing the area around Galveston's South Jetty, the fishermen wound in this catch that hit their squid and cut bait chunks:

* Numerous hardhead catfish
* 2 Atlantic sharpnose shark
* 2 whiting

The fisherman with the biggest smile on his face was 11 year old Blane Whitely from Alvarado, who had one of the sharks in his catch.

To see what's out there in Galveston Bay that can put a smile on one of your childrens or your face give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 to make your reservations on the Texsun II.

There were two four hour bay and jetty fishing trips today, a morning and an afternoon trip. Capt. Johnny Williams had the 58 fishermen on the morning trip fishing the boat cut and the end of the North Jetty area. Their efforts, along with their squid chunks or cut baits, fooled this catch into biting:

* 2 bull redfish
* 2 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
* numerous hardhead catfish
* 3 gafftop catfish

The afternoon fishing was done at both the North and South Galveston jetties. Using the same type baits as the morning trip, and fishing them at or near the bottom, the 17 fishermen coaxed this catch into joining them on the Texsun II:

* 1 bull redfish
* 1 Atlantic sharpnose shark
* 1 spinner shark of 35#
* 6 whiting
* 3 gafftop catfish
* numerous hardhead catfish

As you can see from these four trip reports, there's a variety of species that may be caught on these inshore, relaxing, family-type atmosphere four hour fishing trips. Give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 to make your reservations on the partyboat Texsun II and fish Galveston Bay. Who knows what parts of this variety fishing package you will reel up?
