The four hour bay fishing trip run this morning was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams with 65 fishermen aboard. They fished several bay spots using pieces of cut squid baits worked at or near the bottom. Their efforts produced a catch which included sand trout, hardhead catfish, gafftop catfish, and several under sized Atlantic sharpnose sharks that were released.

The afternoon trip was again run with Capt. Johnny Williams behind the wheel. The 36 fishermen aboard had their cut squid baits positioned at or near the bottom at several stops in east Galveston Bay and at the sunken concrete ship "Selma", on the east side of Pelican Island. Their catch was made up of sand trout, hardhead catfish, whiting and gafftop catfish.

As has been said before, besides fishing for a variety of species on these four hour trips, you also get to experience the sights, sounds and saltwater smells of Galveston Bay. Give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 and make your reservations on the partyboat Texsun II, and bring the children. It's an exciting four hours for them, too. Make that call to the office at Pier 19, the bay awaits.
