The four hour bay & jetty fishing trip by the partyboat Texsun II was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. This one was squeezed in fortunately as weather moving in from the Gulf was forecast for later today.

After leaving Galveston's Pier 19 with 60 fishermen aboard the run to the area of the North Jetty began. Fishing their cut squid baits at or near the bottom coerced this catch into joining them on the Texsun II:

* 2 Atlantic sharpnose shark
* 26 whiting
* 1 gafftop catfish
* numerous hardhead catfish(released)
* 87 sand trout

To be a part of one of these four hour bay & jetty fishing trips and their multi-species catches plus the excitement of the sights and sounds of Galveston Bay give the office a call. The numbers are 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853, make the call today to make your reservations.

This afternoon's bay and jetty fishing trip by the Texsun II was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. Using pieces of cut squid for bait, fished at or near the bottom, they wound in a catch made up of whiting, sand trout, Atlantic sharpnose shark,numerous hardhead catfish and a 30 lb. ling.

The trip's highlight was that 30 lbs. ling, caught at the North jetty by eleven year old Lauren Peterson from Weatherford, Texas. Other than the ling, today's catch was pretty much the norm. To make your reservations on one of these four hour bay and jetty fishing trips by the Texsun II, give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853. Come out and experience the bay's sights and sounds while reeling in who knows what besides the usual, a stingray or a ling? You never know what could be next coming over the rail.

There were two bay fishing trips run today, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. Both of these four hour trips were run with Capt. Johnny Williams behind the wheel.

Various stops were made in Galveston Bay after leaving Pier 19, the morning trip had 52 fishermen aboard, with 60 making the afternoon trip.The fishermen's baits of cut squid produced catches which included Atlantic sharpnose shark, whiting, numerous hardhead catfish, sand trout and gafftop catfish.

These family oriented four hour bay and jetty fishing trips are an excellent opportunity to experience basic partyboat saltwater fishing. Children are especially suited to this exposure to saltwater fishing that don't have a long run to the fishing areas, nor is it a trip with a length that may become boring to them. These bay and jetty trips are an excellent stepping stone for graduating to longer day trips farther offshore.

Whatever your experience level, these bay and jetty fishing trips on the Texsun II offer a chance to have one of those multi-species catches. Give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4953 and make your reservations for a four hour bay and jetty fishing trip.
