After leaving Galveston's Pier 19 this morning with 65 fishermen aboard the Texsun II, Capt. Johnny Williams again headed for the jetties area on another four hour bay and jetty fishing trip. The fishermen and their cut squid baits, fished at or near the bottom, produced this catch:
* 2 bull redfish
* 4 Atlantic sharpnose shark
* 48 sand trout
* 2 croakers
* 46 whiting
* numerous hardhead catfish, released.

At the wheel on this afternoon trip was once again Capt. Johnny Williams. Using their cut squid baits in the area of the Galveston jetties, the 44 fishermen wound in this catch:
* 1 bull redfish
* 12 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
* 21 whiting
* 19 sand trout
* 4 gafftop catfish
* numerous hardhead catfish, released.

This morning's four hour bay and jetty fishing trip by the Texsun II was run to the ge report.html neral area of the Galveston jetties. The trip, headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams, started as usual from Pier 19 with 64 fishermen aboard for this one.
Baits used were pieces of cut squid or cut pieces of Spanish sardines. These baits, fished at or near the bottom, helped put this catch into the fish boxes...
* 57 sand trout
* 66 whiting
* 1 gafftop catfish
* 6 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
* numerous hardhead catfish, released.

This four hour bay and jetty fishing trip, run this morning, was headed up by Capt. Johnny Williams. After leaving Galveston's Pier 19 with 54 fishermen aboard, the run to the general area of the Galveston jetties began. Shortly after their arrival, their cut squid baits headed for the bottom. Those baits were eaten by:
* 2 bull redfish
* 2 gafftop catfish
* 14 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
* 2 sand trout
* 14 whiting
* 2 Spanish mackerel (hit baits on the surface)
* numerous hardhead catfish, released.

Friday, August 03, 2007
After leaving Pier 19 for this morning's four hour bay and jetty trip, the run to the Galveston jetties began. Capt. Johnny Williams soon had the 63 fishermen working their pieces of cut squid baits at or near the bottom. Their efforts produced this catch:
* 4 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
* 2 gafftop catfish
* 29 sand trout
* 21 whiting
* numerous hardhead catfish, released.
