Under somewhat breezy conditions, the partyboat Texsun II ventured to the area of Galveston's south jetty for this morning's four hour bay and jetty fishing trip. Capt. Johnny Williams had the 30 fishermen working their baits on the Gulf side, then the Bay side of the jetty. Their catch included bull redfish, sand trout, whiting and Atlantic sharpnose sharks.
The afternoon trip was also headed up by Capt. Williams. After leaving Galveston's pier 19 with 24 fishermen, the increasingly breezy weather situation dictated fishing the area around the concrete ship Selma. This relic of the past was purposely run around in the early 1920's along the East shore of Pelican Island. This afternoon's catch was made up of sand trout, whiting, croaker and bull redfish.
Give the Texsun II office at Galveston's Pier 19 a call to make your reservations on one of these bay and jetty fishing trips. They are four hours of Galveston Bay fishing in a family atmosphere, experience it for yourself. Right now, bull redfish are just one of the species making their presence known. Get on the Texsun II and see if one will give a pull on your line – call 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853.

Both of these four hour bay and jetty fishing trips were run by the partyboat Texsun II with Capt. Tony Langston in the captain's chair.
Saturday morning's trip to the north jetty area with 26 fishermen had a catch consisting of bull redfish, gafftop catfish, whiting and sand trout.
Sunday morning's trip, with 39 fishermen aboard, was done at the boat cut and the south jetty. Their efforts had a catch of bull redfish, whiting and gafftop catfish coming in over the rail.
Give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 to make your four hour bay & jetty fishing trip reservations aboard the Texsun II. Not only do you get a different fishing experience with the chance of reeling in part of one of those multi-species catches, the sights, sounds and aroma of beautiful Galveston Bay are thrown in at no extra charge. Make that call to the Pier 19 office to start your experience.

This morning's 4 hour bay and jetty fishing trip was headed up by Capt. Shane Steber. After leaving Pier 19, a run was made to the area of Galveston's south jetty for this morning's fishing. The catch consisted of numerous sand trout and whiting, 2 Atlantic sharpnose sharks, four bull redfish and a bit of a surprise, a five pound red snapper.
Fifty-eight fishermen made the afternoon trip to the area of the south jetty, this time with Capt. Johnny Williams at the wheel. Their baits and efforts had a catch made up of Atlantic sharpnose sharks, whiting, sand trout and 37 bull redfish being wound in and ending up in the fish boxes.

This morning's four hour bay and jetty fishing trip was headed up by Capt. Tony Langston. After leaving Galveston's Pier 19 with 26 fishermen aboard, the run began through the Galveston channel and on to the South Jetty area.
Working their baits at or near the bottom produced a catch made up of bull redfish. Katy Langston, Dickinson, had one of those hard-pulling bull redfish that they were all targeting.
Give the office a call at 409-762-8808 or 713-223-4853 to make your reservations on the Texsun II for one of these four hour bay and jetty fishing trips. Your knot-creaking bull redfish might be out there waiting for you...you never know what might get on your hook when fishing in Galveston Bay.
