The area chosen by Capt. Johnny Williams for today's 12 hour deepsea fishing trip by the partyboat Capt John was about 60 miles SSW of The Island. Seas today made for a nice ride offshore for the 66 of us fishermen.

Various rock formations in 120 to 180 ft. of water were fished. Baits, consisting of cut or whole squid or Spanish sardines, helped greatly in bringing this catch onto the boat:

74 red snapper to 19 lb-12 oz.
27 vermilion snapper
4 lane snapper
1 porgy
3 kingfish
18 Atlantic sharpnose sharks
1 Warsaw grouper, 18#

Steve Saur & son Henry (Beaumont), had red snapper limits.
Rob Richardson (Athens), red snapper limit to 8#, 1 Atlantic sharpnose shark and a 50" shark that was released.
Mike Richardson (Corinth), with a red snapper limit to 12#
Ricky Richardson (Lone Oak), red snapper limit to 6#, 1 kingfish, 1 Atlantic sharpnose shark.
Wes Richardson (Greenville), red snapper limit to 8#.

Colby Smith (Greenville), red snapper limit to 8#.
Travis Krueger (Laverway), his red snapper limit included the day's heaviest fish, the really nice 19 lb-12 oz sow red snapper.
